Teacher Breakfast Honors Educators With Breakfast & Prizes
The annul Springdale Chamber Teacher Breakfast is the official kickoff of the school year. It is a day of recognition dedicated to Springdale's finest individuals - our teachers.
Thirteen major sponsors and 49 booths helped provide breakfast and more than $25,000 in door prize giveaways to the educators during the 43nd annual Teacher Breakfast. Held at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center on August 17 and 18, the event is the largest of its kind in the state of Arkansas. Pat McGaughey, a noted motivational and customer service trainer, delivered a keynote address each day. Back for the third year was the Office Depot Extreme Office Makeover in which two nominated schools were each selected to receive $500 in new office furnishings.
Combined with a complimentary breakfast by McDonald's, Harps Food Stores and Hiland Dairy, the event is a high-energy, fun kickoff to the new school year unmatched by any other school district in the state of Arkansas
In addition to breakfast and door prizes, first-year teachers were recognized and 25-year teachers were honored during the event.
