Junior Leadership
Program Helps Develop Good Citizens
The Junior Leadership Springdale Program is a seven-month program designed and implemented by the Leadership Springdale Alumni Association. The purpose of this program is to introduce ninth grade students to personal growth opportunities and to challenge each participant to enhance their self-esteem, discover and begin to learn what leadership is, to strengthen their desire and confidence, and to explore career path options.
Participants meet once a month for seven months. The curriculum explores key aspects of the community as well as fundamental leadership and team building concepts. Session days include such topics as Diversity, Springdale City Government, Quality of Life, Current Events, Business & Industry, Arts & Humanities, Health Care and Human Services.
The class consists of students from Central Junior High, George Junior High and Southwest Junior High and Shiloh Christian School.
